Well the new year is fast approaching and it is one of those moments in most peoples lives where we decide to make new declarations of habits that we are going to change in the coming 12 months......i think the term that is normally used is new years resolutions. These are statements of intent....normally fuelled by peoples desire to change something about themselves or their situation e.g. I am going to lose weight, I am going to save more money, I am going to do this and that.
But (and this is a big but), how long do these resolutions last? I read somewhere that on average resolutions last 16 days!!! 16 days.....now that normally isn't enough time to change certain aspects of your life for the better (although depending on your strong belief it could!)
So I am calling for all of you to NOT make resolutions but make REVOLUTIONS (remember in history when revolutions took place....what was the result......a massive shift in beliefs and events) in your life...pick an aspect of your life that you wholeheartedly believe that you can change.....make sure you have an undying conviction that you can change this aspect of your life. Remember it is the beliefs in our lives that shape our outcomes.....
I truly believe in the below quote....
"If you do what you have always done, you will get what you have always got"
So make concrete plans, get your vision board out, get some dates in your diary as to when you are going to achieve, plan some check points along the way......and enjoy the amazing results you will achieve!!!!
Have an amazing 2009 and remember that All that we are is the result of our thoughts.......keep it positive.
