Quote of the day.....

Quote of the day......

"The moment you commit and quit holding back, all sorts of unforeseen incidents, meetings and material assistance, will rise up to help you. The simple act of commitment is a powerful magnet for help."

Update.........

"Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it."
Julius Henry "Groucho" Marx
1890-1977, Comedian and Film Star

I love the above quote as it highlights the element of choice we have in our lives. This time of year is seen as challenging by a lot of people as we have been off on a wonderful break for Christmas and New Year. Getting back into the "swing of things" can often leave people feeling low, depairing and demotivated.

Why not make a change in 2012 and view returning to work as the fuel you choose to ensure that you have a fantastic year. Work is the how you get somewhere, its what you do with what you earn that makes the massive difference.

So for those of you that are bemoaning the fact that you are returning to work after a superb festive period, remember it becomes a lot easier to return to work when you have a clear understanding of why you are going in the first place!!

It certainly focuses your mind on the positives and allows you to choose the attitude you are going to take towards each day.

Happy 2012, I know it's going to be an amazing year!

Creating mindful success.......

I love this quote from Steve Siebold that relates to choosing your attitude to the economic downturn, it reads:

Use the current economic crisis to test your mental toughness. While the average person allows circumstances to dictate his mindset, the great ones operate in a world of psychological self containment filled with thoughts of love, abundance and gratitude. Both groups have the same freedom to choose what they think, but the masses believe they are victims of circumstance. Refuse to let fear infect your consciousness by only allowing forward thinking, problem solving thoughts to occupy your mind. Build this habit when times are tough and your future success is guaranteed."

Author and Speaker

It's amazing how people of equal intelligence, equal opportunity, equal amount of time in the day have such different outlooks on the situation the economy finds itself in. How is t possible that people with equal standing have completely different outcomes? A one word answer........choice.

We choose how we respond to things and our views on them. It is just as easy to decide that we are going to see the opportunity in this market as opposed to seeing the negatives. I work in a market has been hit hard b the downturn many markets, recruitment. I train all new starters that come into our business and I tell them that they have joined the business at exactly the right time, because they are going to create their skills and develop n one f the toughest markets that there has ever been, which can only mean that they will be amazing sales people because they will be making money in what other people believe is too hard!!!!

Your attitude dictates your altitude....focus all your energy on success, happiness, abundance and love and you will receive them back to you.......

It's been a while........

Well I have been away from this blog for while and what a while it has been! A lot has happened and it has all been great.

I have recently been conducting life coaching sessions with someone and it is amazing how kinetic energy can pass from human to human, just be engaging in simple positive conversation. It was a cold and wet Thursday morning at 7am and I was thinking that I could really do with being in bed (I have a 7 week old baby....enough said). I was slightly concerned that I would not be able to motivate myself to talk let alone someone else!!!

However, I have a responsibility to anyone I coach to be upbeat and engaging and just by keeping this in my mind I was able to refocus. It just so happened that my client was feeling slightly jaded from his week and was therefore in the similar state of mind that I had been in before he turned up to meet me.

By choosing my attitude toward our session, we turned, what could have been an event that lacked energy, purpose or action, into one where he left my company feeling energised and excited and as a direct result I was able to feed off his energy and felt even better.

It's amazing how a simple mind shift can have outstanding effects on the individual and those around them. The kinetic effect of energy through language, movement, tonality and body language is superb.

So if you want to instill some energy in yourself, make a simple shift or go and find someone that is exhibiting the energy you are looking for and "borrow" from them! (remember you can only do this by being positive!)

It's amazing how movement and taking action when you are tired gives you more energy than you had previously. Just when you think you are too tired when you finish work or get up in the morning to train, exercise or simply move to get you blood pumping, you would literally amaze yourself with the amount of energy you have deep inside you.

This all links into the reasons WHY you are driven to increase your energy. If you have a compelling committed clear goal that is line with your wheel of life and you believe it, you will move to take action.

If you lack energy = exercise more, move more, get your muscles and blood pumping more.

Quote of the day.....

"Stand up to your obstacles and do something about them. You will find that they haven't half the strength you think they have."
Norman Vincent Peale
